The Electric Lodge is a small performing arts organization based in Venice, California. It functions as a sanctuary where artists and environmentalists originate, gestate, develop, and present performances and ideas at the intersection of artistic and environmental awareness. The venue offers a range of seminars, salons, and classes across disciplines—from martial arts to dramatic arts, including Mommy & Me and Swing Brazil. Through the Arts Earth Partnership and other programs, it serves as a nexus for a network of environmentally friendly cultural facilities, performing arts companies, and individual artists in Los Angeles and across the country. The organization subsidizes co-productions by offering reduced-rate opportunities for artists and organizations that may lack resources, with oversight by the Board of Directors and the Artistic Director. Proposals for rentals or co-productions are welcome.
