The Energy Corridor District is a municipal management district in West Houston. Covering more than 2,000 acres, it serves a community of residents and a sizable daytime workforce, including many energy sector firms. Its work encompasses long-range urban planning, improvements to public spaces, and transportation solutions intended to ease congestion and improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists. Founded in 2001, the district positions itself as an internationally recognized, high-quality place to work, live and invest in West Houston. In 2023 it launched a branding effort titled Redefining Energy and has supported regional livability initiatives such as the West Houston Trails Master Plan.
