Located in Shoreline, just north of Seattle, The Evergreen School serves students from preschool through 8th grade in Washington. It emphasizes turning curiosity into learning by having teachers design lessons around student questions, sparking thoughtful discussion. It serves highly capable, creative learners, blending challenging academics with a foundation in social-emotional well-being, empathy, and a multicultural perspective to help students develop self-advocacy, collaboration, and respect for differences. With a history of more than six decades, the school operates with a mid-sized staff. In 2021, a longtime faculty member retired and moved on to establish a nonprofit that expands preschool access to education and shelter for children seeking asylum.
