The Family Effect works to reduce addiction as a leading cause of family collapse and harm to children in South Carolina. How do we do that? We use the most precious resource of all, a community of caring individuals who are looking for ways to make a difference. With a vision of Providing Hope, Healing Families, Eliminating Addiction – we connect people with resources to people in need.

This connection between your resource and a family’s need is at the heart of our mission. The Family Effect empowers you to make a difference in our community by supporting the work of the Phoenix Center. When a community of caring individuals comes together to heal a family, we all get better.

Some of the work that we are able support at the Phoenix Center through our generous community partners and volunteers include the following:

Serenity Place: a residential treatment facility for pregnant women, young mothers and their preschool children.

Adolescent Outpatient Treatment: services for more than 300 youth each year

Prevention: educational programming delivered to more than 20,000 Greenville County students and adults each year, combined with retail enforcement work in partnership with the Greenville County Sheriff's Department.
