The Fed is a Jewish social care charity based in London, England, that serves Greater Manchester and operates Heathlands Village Care Home. It is described as the largest Jewish social care charity in Greater Manchester and functions as the Manchester Jewish community’s safety net. Across the region it supports more than 6,500 people each year and provides care to around 140 residents at Heathlands Village.

Its Community Services teams address a range of issues, including mental health, loneliness, isolation, poverty, self-harm and domestic abuse, as well as child sexual abuse, and it supports 35 Holocaust survivors. The organization coordinates a large volunteer network—over 550 volunteers who contribute more than 40,000 hours annually—and maintains a substantial workforce. In February 2025, The Fed announced Julie Besbrode as Vice-Chair, marking a leadership change at board level.
