The First National Bank was established in 1925 to serve the financial needs of Mount Dora. On September 12, 1925, The Bank of Mount Dora and Trust Company received a charter to open its doors as a state bank. On July 6, 1927, the bank received its charter as a national bank and officially changed its name to The First National Bank of Mount Dora. Throughout the depression the bank's doors remained open and the bank continued to provide a safe and secure haven for the community's banking needs. In 1962 the bank received Federal approval to operate a trust department. We are the oldest and largest Trust company in Lake County with 5 offices in Mount Dora, Leesburg and Sorrento.
