Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is the values-based leadership development program girls choose for fun, friendship and adventure; it is recognized as such by the communities we serve. Organized in 1923, Kentuckiana has grown through mergers to our current size-serving the needs of 29,000 members (girls and adult volunteers). Headquartered in Louisville, the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana council office provides professional staff to oversee the entire council. Five service centers and two satellite offices provide extensive staff services to regional members. The council is governed by a volunteer policy-making board of directors. Operations are managed by a paid CEO, with a staff of 75 full-time and part-time women and men.
