HEABC is a Vancouver-based human resources services organization that coordinates HR and labour relations for publicly funded health care employers across British Columbia. It represents denominational, proprietary and affiliate health employers, as well as the province’s six health authorities, and serves as the province’s accredited bargaining agent for most of these employers. It negotiates five major provincial agreements covering more than 185,000 unionized health care workers, spanning nurses, health science professionals, physician residents and support staff in facilities and community settings.

The organization provides physician services to the Ministry of Health, offering consulting, analytical and legal support related to physician compensation, negotiations, contract administration and dispute resolution. Health Match BC coordinates physician recruitment, supports recruitment of registered nurses and allied health professionals, and administers the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry, the Rural GP Locum Program and the Practice Ready Assessment BC program.
