The Inner Temple is a historic non-profit membership association based in London, England, with origins dating back to the 14th century. As one of the Inns of Court, it holds the exclusive right to call students to practise as barristers in England and Wales. Its global membership and progressive stance aim to strengthen and promote the rule of law and a vibrant, diverse legal community. Shaped by the profession, the Inn seeks to attract strong candidates and ensure access to high-quality education and training resources at every stage of a legal career so members can develop and thrive. It operates as a mid-sized nonprofit organization rooted in London but serving a worldwide membership. In March 2018, Greg Dorey CVO was appointed Sub-Treasurer, effectively the chief executive, marking a notable leadership development for the Inn.
