Founded in 1887, the Insurance Library Association of Boston is the leading resource for and provider of literature, information services, and quality professional education for the insurance industry and related interests. Our Association offers a wide variety of research services and materials to the membership and consumers. The collection includes contemporary and historical versions of: * Books, pamphlets, articles and reference materials in all areas of the insurance industry; * Insurance reports, directories, loose leaf services and lexicons; * Insurance laws, treatises, and financial rating services; * Rating and form manuals; * More than 350 insurance trade journals which are indexed in our own database by subject, person, and company and may be searched by key word or phrase. The Saval Insurance Education Center of the Insurance Library Association of Boston offers a wide variety of courses, building on an insurance education tradition begun in 1890. Courses include those for producer pre-licensing preparation and many for national designation programs such as the AINS, CPCU, ARM, AIC, and ARe programs. A wide selection of "short courses" and seminars qualify, as do the designation programs, for continuing education credits for licensed producers and public adjusters. You can see the full listing of our courses on that section of the website.
