The Jackfruit Company is a Boulder, Colorado–based player in the food and beverage space focused on convenient, whole-food, plant-based products made from jackfruit. It positions itself as the leading jackfruit brand in the United States and sources organically grown jackfruit from more than 1,000 farming families in southern India to supply the U.S. market with meal starters and frozen entrees. The company aims to improve farmers’ livelihoods, reduce humanity’s eco-footprint, and support health by mainstreaming jackfruit as a meat alternative. Its products are distributed through a national retail network, available at more than 9,000 retailers.

The Jackfruit Company was founded by Annie Ryu and operates with a small-to-mid-sized team. In November 2024, Performance Food Group announced a partnership to launch FarmSmart Beef & Jackfruit Burger in collaboration with The Jackfruit Company.
