The KC Improv Company and The Kick Comedy Theater are the go-to source for comedy in Kansas City.  

The KC Improv Company is a professional comedy troupe based in Kansas City. Since 2000 we have performed corporate and other private shows, as well as shows for the public, as far away as New York and L.A.  

Catch hilarious shows every week at The Kick Comedy Theater in Westport, featuring our company of players, our Training Center students, and guests from around the country. We currently do five shows every weekend, in addition to private events.

KCIC specializes in improvised comedy — comedy that’s invented on the spot, based on audience suggestions. We even pull willing volunteers from the audience up on stage and involve them in the show. If you like “Who’s Line Is It, Anyway?” and Second City, you’ll love our shows.

Our private shows can be customized to any theme, and our shows range from super-clean to PG-13 to Adults-only in style.  We have performed in sketches, videos, commercials, and other pre-planned comedy, in addition to our specialty: high-energy improv comedy that is performed artfully, and pleases every audience.

The KC Improv Company has hosted the KC Improv Festival for the past four years and is proud to have had nationwide guest including Jason Sudeikis' improv troupe, Der Monkenpickel, and LA troupe SuperEgo, as well as the many talented local troupes that perform.
