The LGBTQ+ Center, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a mid-sized nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing the well-being, rights, and public image of the LGBTQ+ community, its allies, and income-constrained residents in Southern Nevada. Active since 1993, it offers a broad range of no-cost programs and services, including peer-led social and discussion groups for youth, transgender individuals and their loved ones, seniors, and lesbians, as well as HIV and STI counseling, testing and prevention education, and free vaccinations. The center also provides access to computers and the internet, civil rights advocacy, addiction and recovery support, and educational workshops, along with referrals to culturally competent organizations. In addition, it serves as a meeting space for around 130 local LGBTQ groups and organizations and reaches more than 87,000 people annually. Within the nonprofit sector, The LGBTQ+ Center operates as a community hub that offers inclusive services to LGBTQ+ people, allies, and underserved residents in Southern Nevada, with free access to its programs and resources. Based in Las Vegas, the organization has engaged with partners and cultural institutions to broaden its outreach, including a collaboration with the Vegas Theatre Company for a charity event in 2023.
