The Lundquist Institute (TLI) for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is a leading nonprofit biomedical research organization that has been shaping the future of healthcare since 1952. 

Founded by visionary physicians determined to find better treatments for their patients, The Lundquist Institute continues to be defined by its unique “bedside to bench to bedside” approach—translating clinical challenges into scientific inquiry, and scientific discoveries back into patient care. Today, over 150 principal investigators and more than 550 research staff are driving forward over 600 active studies, including 130 clinical trials each year, delivering solutions that are transforming lives.

Affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and partnered with Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, The Lundquist Institute leads advancements in areas ranging from cancer biology and respiratory medicine to translational genomics. Our community health programs reaches over 60,000 underserved women and children monthly, promoting health equity across Los Angeles County.
