The Municipal Art Society of New York is a New York City–based nonprofit in the civic and social sector that focuses on the built environment. It seeks to elevate community voices in debates about growth, design, and preservation to help the city become more livable from sidewalks to skylines. Founded in 1893, MAS has played a role in shaping policy and public space, contributing to the establishment of key city agencies and to landmark preservation and significant public-art initiatives.

Its activities engage residents and a range of stakeholders involved in urban policy and the stewardship of public spaces. In 2025, MAS named Keri Butler as President, a leadership change that accompanies its ongoing programs and events.
