The Neuropathy Association is the leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing patient support and education, advocating patients’ interests and promoting research into the causes of and cures for peripheral neuropathy.  

Over 20 million Americans have some form of peripheral neuropathy.  Peripheral neuropathy is a progressive, painful and potentially crippling chronic disease resulting from injury to the peripheral nerves.  These nerves connect the spinal cord to the muscles, skin and internal organs that enable us to move, feel, maintain balance and control our circulation and bodily functions.

The Neuropathy Association’s work brings help and hope to patients, their loved ones, and the healthcare professionals caring for them.  Our mission is conducted through a nationwide network of 135 patient support groups and 15 Association-designated Neuropathy Centers of Excellence at major medical and research institutions across the U.S.  We also offer annual scientific research grants to provide funding for researchers seeking to advance our understanding of peripheral neuropathy.
