The Old Creamery Theatre is a not-for-profit live, professional theatre founded in 1971 in Garrison, Iowa. In 1988, at the invitation of The Amana Society, the company opened its first season in Amana. The theatre is located just outside the historic village which is ten minutes north of Interstate 80, thirty minutes southwest of Cedar Rapids, and 30 minutes northwest of Iowa City. Built in 1988, the Main Stage facility houses a 300-seat auditorium known for its spacious and comfortable seating. The company's new 90 seat Studio Stage is located in the former Amana Middle School building just a couple minutes from the Main Stage.
