The People Concern is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Los Angeles that provides an integrated system of care spanning housing, mental health and medical services, and related social supports for vulnerable residents in Los Angeles County. It is Los Angeles County’s largest housing and social services agency, with a core aim that everyone should be housed, healthy, and safe. The organization formed in 2016 through the merger of OPCC and Lamp Community, drawing on more than fifty years of local work to support residents in rebuilding their lives.
In 2023, The People Concern partnered with Holos Communities to develop additional affordable housing solutions, including two new developments in South Los Angeles. These collaborations reflect the organization’s ongoing role in delivering a coordinated mix of housing, health care and social supports to help vulnerable residents stabilize and rebuild their lives.
