The Range Tool Company was founded by Michael Peterson in 2010 in with a goal to create a precision manufacturing environment to the Iron Range in northern Minnesota. 

The Range Tool Company's primary goal is to develop public and government products and offer direct access to the manufacturers to commercial customers. 

Upon launch of the company, the first product was the AR15/M16 firearm rifle components. The company partnered up with numerous manufacturing companies to create a single direct source to retail those components to public consumers, commercial firearm builders and firearm dealers at a strategic price level.

The company currently supplies firearm components to commercial firearm builders and distributors. Actively accepting new commercial and distributor customers.

Large percentage of current business is supplying AR15/M4 Lower receivers under marking variances to commercial gun builders throughout the country.

Future goals are to develop numerous components for the AR15/M16 platform and also design new products that compliment the platform using the large manufacturing partnership.

Long term goals of the company are to develop a new platform of firearm utilizing designs that will create a new and superior firearm for markets such as government defense, local municipal law enforcement and public enthusiasts.
