The Rashi School is a Reform Jewish independent day school serving students in grades PK-8 in Dedham, Massachusetts, within the Greater Boston area. It sits on a 162-acre wooded campus along the Charles River and enrolls roughly 300 students from Pre-K through Grade 8. The school aims to develop academically capable, engaged learners who maintain a strong Jewish identity and a sense of social responsibility. The curriculum blends Jewish studies with secular subjects in an interdisciplinary framework, and teachers differentiate instruction to fit students’ readiness and interests, while the school pursues social justice through classroom work and school-wide projects, on a campus shared with NewBridge on the Charles. The Rashi community is diverse and includes interfaith families, with bus transportation available to participating families, and in 2020 the school launched The Domino Effect, also described as the Ripple Effect.
