The Relatives is a nonprofit organization in the individual and family services field that coordinates resources to help youth and young adults find safety, stability, and pathways to independence. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, it provides programs and facilities that address crises, support families, and guide young people toward self-sufficiency. The organization operates a 24-hour Youth Crisis Center offering respite care for runaway or homeless youth aged 7 to 17 for up to 21 days. It also runs the On Ramp Resource Center, which provides case management for teens and young adults aged 16 to 24 with a focus on employment, education, housing, life skills, and health and safety. Its housing offerings include a transitional living home for young men aging out of foster care and scattered-site housing for young adults experiencing homelessness; in May 2026, Genine Donovan retired as program manager after nine years with The Relatives.
