The Service Board (tSB) is a civic and social organization based in Seattle, Washington, at 5290 Rainier Avenue South. It is a youth-led organization that centers leadership to bridge opportunity and wellness gaps through lifelong mentorship, outdoor adventure, and social justice. For more than 30 years, tSB has developed and implemented culturally relevant programming for King County high school–aged youth from traditionally marginalized communities, including BIPoC, LGBTQAI+, low-income, immigrants and refugees, foster care, and houseless. The organization employs between 11 and 50 people and provides year-round programming that makes outdoor activities, especially snowboarding, more accessible to build confidence and diversify participation. Through community service projects, adult mentoring, and education in social and environmental justice, tSB seeks to create communities of young change-makers, aligned with its values of Community Mentorship, Service, Social Justice, and Outdoor Adventure.
