The Simple Folk is a conscious clothing and lifestyle brand created for the wild-hearted minimalist, focused on sustainability, comfort and quality. Our childrenswear is created to inspire and support adventure and play in our little ones, while our womenswear is designed to not only celebrate women’s wondrous bodies but fully embrace the changes that most experience through their lives (with flexibility and longevity in mind). We are devoted to mindfully creating heirloom pieces that are kind to the earth, the people making them, and those who wear them. 

As mothers, our founders Jamie Morea and Abigail Brown felt a profound calling to create children’s clothing that was nature-inspired, ethical, organic, and high-comfort; yet with the practicality of being easy to wear, easy to wash, and easy on the senses, so they can support children in their development. 

Since the beginning, we set out to make a difference, championing the slow fashion movement on behalf of our planet and every human life we touch. Nearly all of our collection of organic fabrics are produced in small batches in an eco-friendly, GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified factory in Portugal that runs on green energy from solar-generated power and recycles its own well water.

We also proudly stand with our remarkable (and still growing) community who share in our commitment to make this world a better place. Together we gather to share inspiration and motivation for a conscious lifestyle; where we can connect as individuals, and as parents, and our children can become their most empowered and authentic selves.

Giving back is a cornerstone of our philosophy, and as members of the Change for Women Collective, we are proud to support several organizations that are committed to supporting women, children and education worldwide. 
 
Our commitment to simplicity, quality, transparency, and the spirit of play shines through from our garments to our work culture, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
