The Social Connection family of companies dates back to 1986 when the country’s original dining introduction service, Table for Eight, began in Boston.  Thousands of dinner parties and introductions later, Table for Eight was purchased in April 2001 by several Detroit based entrepreneurs.  After enhancing and diversifying the services that Table for Eight offered members, including Reservation for Two Personal Introductions, social events, activities and adventures, it became undisputable that the Table for Eight staff planned and hosted the most successful and well-attended events in the city.  The Social Connection concept was conceived in the fall of 2002 when the demand for our fun, pressure-free and professionally run events was growing. “Making Connections for Life” is the mantra of The Social Connection family of companies as our members and participants enjoy lasting relationships of every kind.  The “Social Events and Adventures” division provides an entire forum of interesting, fun, and ever changing theme parties, social events, fund raisers, travel and adventures.
