The Transport Project is a North American industry association focused on developing a sustainable marketplace for gaseous fuels and fleets, including renewable natural gas and hydrogen. Its work centers on advancing the use of gaseous motor fuels to help the United States and Canada meet climate goals and improve air quality while maintaining reliable operations for existing commercial activities. The organization serves a broad coalition of fleets, vehicle and engine manufacturers and dealers, servicers and suppliers, as well as fuel producers and providers, aiming to decarbonize transportation. Based in Washington, DC, the group operates within the energy and transportation sector as a coordinating body that addresses regulatory, policy, and industry guidance needs. In recent years it has released materials such as facility modification guidelines for maintenance of natural gas vehicles, and has expanded leadership and membership to support its advocacy and programmatic work. The Transport Project participates in ongoing events and summits related to RNG and alternative fuels as part of its activities to inform and influence industry practice and policy.
