The Voter Participation Center is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Washington, DC, focused on increasing democratic participation for the New American Majority—people of color, young voters, and unmarried women. It pursues this goal through voter registration campaigns, mobilization efforts, and educational outreach across the civic and social sectors to ensure these groups have opportunities to participate in elections and public discourse. The group works with partner organizations to reach eligible, unregistered voters and to raise turnout. A noted collaboration in its history includes a partnership with the Georgia NAACP to support turnout ahead of Georgia’s January Senate runoff elections, illustrating its nonpartisan, nonprofit approach to expanding participation.
