The Welch Group, LLC was founded in 1984 as a way for Stewart H. Welch, III to serve the needs of the Birmingham community. As he began helping clients prepare for a secure financial future, he quickly realized a need for financial advice from an impartial, trustworthy source. The Welch Group was one of the first firms to offer fee-only investment management and financial planning services for clients.

As a fee-only wealth management firm, The Welch Group provides investment management and financial planning services to help clients control their financial future and retirement. We believe success is achieved through a personalized team approach and offer two service models to help meet our client's financial goals. Our Limited Family Office provides comprehensive wealth management services concentrated around financial planning, charitable and tax planning, estate planning, and generational planning.  Our Wealth Management model provides investment portfolio management, cash flow analysis, estate, tax, and retirement planning services.
