Thoreau Services was founded in 1983 with 12 employees in southern California. In 1990, Nicki Frank joined to expand Thoreau’s client base in the janitorial market. In 1991 Thoreau incorporated with Nicki Frank as the President. By 1992, Thoreau had established a national presence and began growing it to where it is today. Nicki Frank remains the CEO and is actively engaged with Thoreau’s customers daily. President Thomas Rose and G.M. Peter Cormier lead the business functions to deliver on customer needs.

Our mission is to provide total customer satisfaction via an unprecedented level of service excellence and quality assurance. Thoreau Services self-performs services in California and manages the combined resources of more than 5,000 licensed service partners.  Each partner has been carefully selected to meet our rigid quality standards through a qualification and due diligence process.
