Threads Worldwide Travel Collective, a small to mid-sized organization based in Boulder, Colorado, operates in the international trade and development sector by facilitating the fair trade of artisan jewelry. The organization partners with dozens of artisan cooperatives in developing countries, enabling women to learn jewelry-making and earn a sustainable income, while cooperatives often provide education, healthcare, childcare, and personal growth programs.

In the United States, the company provides opportunities for women to become social entrepreneurs through a direct sales model, where Threads Fair Trade Partners sell the handcrafted jewelry in marketplaces and at in-home Artisan Showcases to expand demand and income. In 2019, Threads Worldwide launched Threads.
