Three Rivers College is a public community college serving Southeast Missouri since 1967, based in Poplar Bluff. It operates across a 15-county service area with a focus on accessible higher education. The college offers Associate Degrees in Arts, Arts in Teaching, Science, and Applied Science, and maintains articulation agreements that facilitate transfer to Southeast Missouri State University, Missouri State University (MSU), and the University of Missouri (Mizzou). In addition to transfer pathways, Three Rivers offers a broad range of career and technical programs, including Allied Health and Nursing tracks, a Green Diesel Technician program, and job training agreements with manufacturers across its service area. It hosts the largest law enforcement training academy in the state and provides the majority of firefighter training services used by Missouri fire departments, underscoring its role as a regional provider of public safety training. In 2026, the college expanded its Poplar Bluff campus with a greenhouse facility and held a ribbon-cutting to mark the opening.
