Tinopolis is an international television production and distribution group with bases in the United Kingdom and the United States, comprising 13 content production companies across genres and including Passion Distribution as its international distributor. The group produces a wide range of content, from large-scale entertainment and award-winning factual programming to critically acclaimed drama and live sports coverage, totaling thousands of hours of output annually. It is one of the UK's largest independent television suppliers and operates production facilities in Cardiff, Glasgow and Llanelli, with its Llanelli base on Park Street. Founded in 1990 by Ron Jones in Wales, Tinopolis has developed two US-based businesses that create shows for major US networks and SVOD platforms. In addition to production and distribution, Tinopolis owns two digital businesses providing multiplatform programme support and e-learning resources. The group employs between 51 and 200 people.
