Our Mission is to promote healthy child development through parent education.

Tips on Tots has provided growth-and-development charts to organizations funded by children & family service agencies for over 28 years. Our “Look at Me! Birth to Three!” and “Mirame Crecer!” charts have been used by parents, pediatricians, teachers, & group leaders for numerous parent education projects ranging from childbirth educators to working with developmentally disabled children. The charts have received enthusiastic endorsements from sources as diverse as the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County, home visiting services for at-risk new mothers & infants, nursing faculty & staff nurses at local hospitals, & pediatric health practitioners who use them in their practice to help parents better assess & promote their child’s healthy growth & development.

Tips on Tots is a mother & daughter run business. Naomi Zipkin, the creator of the chart, has devoted more than twenty-five years as a preschool director, & Instructor of Child Development at a community college in California. Nancy Zipkin-Dunn is a Family Nurse Practitioner who teaches Perinatal Nursing in an RN program and has extensive experience in women's health. 

Both women have had a lifelong interest and concern with helping families to raise healthy children in an environment which optimizes their growth, development and safety. We are committed to assisting non-profit organizations promoting this cause.
