Our Mission: The T.J. Martell Foundation is the music industry's nonprofit foundation that funds innovative, life-saving cancer research. Who We Are: For 50 years, we have been the bridge between the music community and a cure for cancer. Founded on a promise from music executive Tony Martell to his son T.J., who lost his battle with leukemia, we unite artists, executives, and fans to support groundbreaking medical research and oncology advancements. Our Board of Trustees includes leaders from every vertical of the music industry, all dedicated to using their influence to save lives. What We Fund: We champion courageous, early-stage research that other institutions might deem too risky. By funding high-risk, high-reward projects at top NCI-designated cancer centers, we accelerate the bench-to-bedside process, turning promising science into clinical trials and life-saving treatments.
