The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that coordinates the distribution of food and grocery products to a network of member agencies. Since its founding in 1984, it has distributed more than 100 million pounds to communities in eight northwestern Ohio counties: Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams and Wood, serving roughly 250 member agencies. Based in Toledo, Ohio, the organization operates from its office on East Woodruff Avenue. In 2024, the food bank announced collaborations with Dave White Chevrolet and The Kroger Company's Zero Hunger Zero Waster Foundation to support hunger-relief initiatives, including the Hope for the Hungry effort. Also in 2024, partnerships with the Ohio Pork Council and local nonprofit SAME Café were established to provide high-quality protein to people in need. These collaborations reflect the organization's role within the nonprofit food-distribution sector, working with corporate sponsors and regional partners to extend its reach.
