Top of travel is a French tour operator founded in 1998 by Helmut Stückelschweiger and based in Montreuil, Île-de-France. It specializes in regional departures and distributes its products through travel agencies across France, and it charters a substantial share of the flights it offers. In 2018, the company refreshed its brand with a new identity and the slogan Des voyages qui rapprochent, highlighting its broad network of 38 departure points and the idea that travel brings people closer to destinations and communities. It launched Top Clubs, with two formats—Top Clubs and Top Clubs Cocoon—centred on discovery. Its offerings include 3- to 5-star stays (including La Collection) and various circuits—escorted or small-group tours, self-drive, and flexible itineraries—across 18 destinations, many within five hours of Paris by air; about 40% of revenue comes from group travel, and the company also charters many of its flights.
