The Town of Granby is a municipal government located in far northern Hartford County, Connecticut. It serves residents and local businesses by delivering governance and public services through a mid-sized municipal workforce. The town center is Salmon Brook, with additional areas such as North Granby and West Granby, and the surrounding landscape is rural, lying in the foothills of the Litchfield Hills and Berkshires. As of the 2020 census, Granby's population was 10,903. Historically, the town saw Swedish immigration during the 1890s through the 1920s. In January 2024 Granby announced partnerships with the Metlakatla Development Corporation and with Lax Kw'alaams First Nations to advance a project intended to attract investment.
