The Town of Oro Valley is a municipal government in northern Pima County, Arizona. It covers more than 36 square miles and is located about three miles north of the Tucson city limits, between the Catalina and Tortolita mountain ranges, at an elevation of 2,620 feet. Incorporated in April 1974, Oro Valley operates under a council-manager form of government administered by a seven-member Town Council. The town had a population of 43,565 as of the 2010 census and employs between 201 and 500 people.
