The Town of Palm Beach United Way, previously known as the Palm Beach Community Chest, was founded in 1945 with the objective to raise and allocate funds to area charitable and philanthropic organizations. Over the years, our United Way has raised over $136 million to help those in Palm Beach County who need it the most. Our mission is to create long-lasting and measurable changes that improve lives and build strong communities throughout Palm Beach County by ensuring everyone has access to the building blocks for a good quality of life: education, health and financial stability. We envision a world where all individuals and families achieve their full potential. For over 78 years, the Town of Palm Beach United Way has been a local leader dedicated to identifying and addressing critical community issues that impact the lives of our residents. We champion community change by strategically uniting key stakeholders, donors and community leaders to invest in successful local nonprofits that provide lasting solutions and measurable results. The Town of Palm Beach United Way is a volunteer-led organization focused on advancing philanthropy and driving change in Palm Beach County. A staff of 3 fulltime employees is supported by 78 board members, 116 campaign volunteers, 110 allocation team members and an additional 115 volunteers all working together to make our community a better place to live and work. For every dollar you give to Town of Palm Beach United Way, 94 cents is invested into programming in Palm Beach County. We ensure that the 4,000 plus contributions we receive each year are efficiently and effectively invested into programs provided by qualified partner agencies with proven records of producing measurable results in our community. This year, the Town of Palm Beach United Way is investing in 71 programs at 39 nonprofit partner agencies in Palm Beach County that will in turn serve 174,842 children and adults.
