The Town of Walnut Grove is located near the geographic center of Mississippi, Walnut Grove is affectionately known by residents and visitors alike as “the best little town in Mississippi.” Walnut Grove, with population of 1911, is in the south central part of Leake County at the Scott County line. Walnut Grove is filled with friendly, hard-working people committed to making your visit enjoyable or welcoming you to your new home for your family or business. The town has the small-town atmosphere with the conveniences of larger metropolitan areas just a short drive away. The 125 acre Business Park has water, sewer, natural gas, and electric utilities on-site. This Park and a number of available buildings both industrial and retail are located just 15 miles north of I-20, the Automotive Corridor of the Southeast and just 46 miles from the new Nissan Automotive Plant at Canton, MS. Annually, the town sponsors "Walnut Grove Day" on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. The day is filled with good food, good music, arts and crafts and good friends.
