Triad Stage is a professional, not-for-profit regional theatre based in Greensboro, North Carolina, serving the Triad communities with mainstage productions and related arts programming. It was founded by Preston Lane and Richard Whittington, who developed their collaboration at Yale School of Drama and opened the Greensboro venue after managing a theater in Connecticut. In its 11th anniversary season, Triad Stage operates a Learning department launched in 2017, now serving about 9,000 students each year. The company has received national and regional recognition, including being named one of the Best Regional Theaters in America by the Drama League and earning a National Theatre Company Grant from the American Theatre Wing in 2010. In October 2022, Kathleen Holland joined the organization as Executive Director. The theater has built a base of supporters, including 3,250 season passholders and more than 400 annual donors, reflecting its community engagement and volunteer support.
