In 2016, Triton Container International Limited (“TCIL”), founded in 1980, and TAL International Group, Inc. (“TAL”), founded in 1963, combined in an all-stock merger under a newly formed holding company, Triton International Limited (“TIL”). We are the world's largest lessor of intermodal containers and chassis, with a fleet of over 5.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (“TEU”) of containers.

We lease containers to nearly every major container shipping line in the world and believe we are the leading container provider to most of the top 10 global container shipping lines. We operate our business through 24 offices located in 15 countries, and offer leasing services through approximately 456 third-party container depot facilities in 47 countries. 

For 2017, we generated $1.16 billion in leasing revenue, with over $9.57 billion in assets.  

Our business segments: 
•	Equipment leasing - we own, lease and ultimately dispose of containers and chassis from our lease fleet, as well as manage containers owned by third parties.
•	Equipment trading - we purchase containers from shipping line customers, and other sellers of containers, and resell these containers to container retailers and users of containers for storage or one-way shipment.
