TRALA is a voluntary, non-profit national trade association that represents the truck renting and leasing sector. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, it maintains a full-time staff to advocate on behalf of its members. Its core objective is to shape a legislative and regulatory environment in which companies that rent or lease vehicles and trailers, and related businesses, can compete without discrimination across North America. 

The association serves member companies involved in leasing and renting vehicles and trailers and related activities. In January 2026, TRALA announced the appointment of Shannon Davison as Senior Vice President of Operations and Meeting Management, reflecting ongoing leadership changes.
