True West Capital Partners operates in the venture capital and private equity arena, backing middle-market companies across the United States with adaptable financial structures. The firm designs arrangements aligned with each company’s long-term goals, rather than pursuing quick, one-size-fits-all deals. It prioritizes candor and trust in its interactions, aiming to provide timely input when partners face critical decisions instead of waiting on protracted approval chains. Based in Los Angeles, California, the organization emphasizes relationships as a core driver of its business philosophy.

In October 2021, Rock Gate Partners joined with True West Capital Partners to recapitalize Perimeter Security Partners, with involvement from The Agnew Company and the founders Wes Foss and Ken Grant. This partnership highlights True West’s role in collaborative, middle-market transactions across the country.
