It all began in a Northern New Jersey town in 1986. A busy musician found himself lugging expensive, delicate gear to and from gigs in New York City.

Tired of damaging his equipment, and in need of protection, Gary rented a sewing machine, purchased some fabric and made a cover. Without knowing it or planning it, this was the beginning of Tuki Covers.

The motivation kept growing as this entrepreneur saw other musicians with the same practical need. Realizing that hard road cases were too expensive, heavy and bulky, Gary knew that a heavy-duty, padded protective cover would be the next best thing.

So, Tuki Covers began with that vision from a single musician. The company evolved into a huge success and is celebrating its 30th year in business in 2016. Some of their first customers still order today and are gigging with original covers.

Gary retired in 2014 and is now able to devote more of his time to his first love: music. Today, the Tuki tradition is continued by Custom Amp Covers, inc. Established in 2004, Custom Amp Covers is a company after Gary's own heart. They are dedicated to quality, detailed craftsmanship and true customer service as well as pride in making all of their products here in the USA.
