The Tulane University Department of Campus Recreation in New Orleans, Louisiana, provides recreational and wellness opportunities to the Tulane community, supporting physical and social development, lifelong learning, respect, and cultural diversity. It operates within the Reily Student Recreation Center, a 156,000-square-foot facility, and also oversees Brown Field, two outdoor tennis courts, and five university quads. Each year, about 4,000 students participate in programs such as Club Sports, Intramural Sports, Fitness & Wellness, Informal Recreation, Aquatics, Late Night, and Outdoor Trips, with 5,029 hours of operation and more than 400,000 entries. A core leadership team comprises 17 full-time professionals and seven environmental staff, along with more than 300 part-time student workers, making Campus Recreation the largest student employer on campus. Beyond its facilities, the department supports a broad mix of programs aimed at promoting fitness, recreation, and social engagement within the Tulane community.
