Tuskegee University is a private, state-related higher education institution located in Tuskegee, Alabama. With a history spanning more than 138 years, its legacy includes Booker T. Washington's emphasis on practical training and educating the heart as well as the head, alongside contributions from George Washington Carver and the Tuskegee Airmen. The university offers a broad mix of humanities, professional, and STEM programs, awarding 41 undergraduate degrees, 16 master's degrees, and five doctoral degrees, and it hosts Alabama's only veterinary school located at an HBCU as well as the nation's only HBCU-based accredited aerospace engineering program.
