Tykes & Teens was established in 1996 with the goal of strengthening local families by ensuring that all children have access to high quality counseling and mental health services, regardless of financial status. The agency provides a comprehensive range of programming in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. 

Counseling services are provided on a sliding scale at 53 service delivery locations throughout the Treasure Coast, including outpatient offices in Palm City, Hobe Sound and Jensen Beach, onsite in all Martin County and Okeechobee schools, and at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County. We manage the Healthy Families program in Indian River County, and Infant Mental Health is provided across all 4 counties, including in 230 homes.

Our Prevention Services division has provided more than 300 free community events designed to prevent substance use, dating violence and suicide among local youth, and administers a youth alcohol prevention curriculum in Martin County schools.

Tykes & Teens has provided direct services to more than 30,000 local families, and also seeks to advocate for increased awareness of mental health in order to remove the stigma and shame often associated with seeking mental health treatment.
