UC Berkeley's School of Information is the university's newest school, housed in the historic South Hall at the center of campus in Berkeley, California. The school offers two professional master’s degrees and a Ph.D. program. The MIMS degree trains information professionals through small classes and project-based learning. The MIDS degree is delivered online to prepare data scientists for managing and analyzing big data. The Ph.D. program focuses on developing solutions and shaping information policy.
