For more than 60 years, the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health has played an instrumental role in advancing the field of public health in the areas of research, training and service. Our world class faculty, in collaboration with students and graduates, have made research discoveries that have improved the health of communities large and small around the world; our talented students come from all over the globe to receive training and mentoring from our faculty, then take their knowledge to become leaders in communities as far as the Congo and as near as East LA; and through our field study programs, faculty and students bring information and education to underserved communities, that have changed behaviors and saved lives.
