The UCSF Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center, a part of the UCSF Department of Neurology, has been a leader in brain health for over 20 years. Dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by memory loss, cognitive decline, and neurodegenerative diseases, we combine exceptional patient care, groundbreaking research, and community education to advance understanding and treatment of these complex conditions. Our mission is to provide expert care for individuals experiencing cognitive challenges, uncover the causes and treatments of neurodegenerative diseases, and empower patients, families, and healthcare professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to make informed decisions. Through innovative approaches and collaboration, we aim to enhance the well-being of those affected by conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Huntington’s disease, and other disorders of aging. At the Fein Memory and Aging Center, our multidisciplinary team brings together world-class specialists in neurology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, speech pathology, genetic counseling, nursing, pharmacology, social work, and more. This collaborative approach allows us to address the medical, emotional, and social needs of our patients and their families while advancing scientific research and discovery into brain health.
